we began our journey together in December of 1999 with a pair of Dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat slippers.
These are not the actual slippers, but it is the only picture of the right ones to be found on the whole internet.

we had a rather long relationship stutter in there, but the third time has proven to be the charm for us, from trying to date, to our first kiss. it’s a pretty fun love story, but you’ll have to wait to read about it in the book our friend Rhonda is going to write. I’m tired of waiting on that myself, so I’ll get around to writing it out before too long.

by the time we finally did officially get together in August 2003, we were pretty much ready to just get on with marriage, so we were engaged on I wanna say December 14… and married four months later. all this waiting around a year or two is utter nonsense =)

fast forward 7.5 years and two kids later, we are happily living in a trailer. happy because we are thankful not to have any debt, not necessarily jumping up and down with glee about the trailer part per se. but there is a certain element of fun involved in having your own place, no matter how humble. we have a tiny desk area set up as a “home office” for tax deductions, and really enjoy our little laundry facilities =) (we were previously surviving on the good graces of our neighbors and my parents to do the majority of our laundry. the kids’ laundry we did in our cute, little mobile washer and hung-dried everything!)

speaking of the home office thing, we’re almost completely self-employed. we have considered calling it God-employed, since we feel like this is really his business more than ours. we aren’t the most skilled people out there, but we are trying to do the best we possibly can with the time and talents given us. it’s been a crazy ride so far, and we anticipate many more adventures in the future. if you stick around we’re happy to have you on the journey with us…
