Early last year I somehow became part of a Quitter group on Facebook. I believe I heard about it via Twitter – my social network of choice. The funny thing is, I hadn’t even read Jon Acuff’s book by that name, or barely read his blog. We had just heard of him in relation to his work with Dave Ramsey and knew we agreed with his concepts. It turned out to be a really great connection builder as were able to meet several people in person during the Blank Canvas Tour last summer, and not only that, but our friend Tammy somehow got the Quitter conference to give out some of our big BlankCanvas posters to their attendees in September

We did end up reading Quitter, and since we are thankfully already at the self-employed stage it was more of a look back than a dreaming forward, but it reminded us how thankful we are to be at this stage. I doubt Jon would label himself as a comedian, but the best way I can describe him is a motivational comedian. We had the privilege of hearing him speak in person last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed his sense of humor and delivery!

I took notes, and this week’s freebie is a printable of one of his quotes from the talk. We’ve been trying to figure out the best way to offer these freebies and haven’t been happy with anything so far, so this week I’m trying something new.
