Costa Rica: a Christmas Card Photoshoot

Tico means Costarican, which Mr. D happens to be, and Costa Rica is where he spent the first 20 years of his life. We therefore have family there and we love to impose on them whenever we can scrape together the traveling funds :) These are some of our little adventures…

since we are looking forward to spending most of this winter in Costa Rica, I wanted to go back and pull out some highlights from our first trip. we posted while we were there, but not much for pictures, and of what was posted, a lot of it disappeared into oblivion because of whatever it was we were using to manage the pictures at the time. it’s also a good way for Krista to get a little more familiar with where we will be living soon!

back in 2007 we made it to Costa Rica for the first time as a family (and my first time ever). Maeve was just 8 months old! being her first Christmas we of course wanted to have a family card, so we nabbed Mr. D’s cousin, Dani, for a tiny photo shoot. these are some of the cute and funny shots we got.

and this was our first Christmas card with a little. if I had to do it again, we definitely would have picked a different picture for the card, but there was probably some long-forgotten explanation. sorry if you didn’t get one and should have – we pretty much SUCK at sending things in the mail. plus, obviously, we were in Costa Rica at the time, so… yeah.

      • probably not in those 3 months, its not my weekend home! But maybe we dare to come to your American home within 1/2 year or so, or if you don’t come back from Costa Rica, because you will like it too much there, then maybe we see you there next year! I will definitly be there again, someday.
Now its myself and a cousin buddy of mine going for a quick week trip there, and a week in my birth country.
