happy anniversary to me and Mr. D!!!

we’ve been experiencing wedded bliss for 8 whole years now, and in honor of our happiness we are introducing

if you want to be a part of this innovative little promotion for your blog, shop, or site,
get your read on!
(we’re coining this term especially for this type of event
an IRLO [InRealLife/Online] Mashup, use at will )

here’s how it will work:
the first 10 people to sign up will receive an email letting them know that they are in, and requesting their snail mail address. to each of these 10 addresses we will send one of our BlankCanvas™ cards, along with an instruction letter for how to proceed.

//there will be prizes!//

each card will become a team of 10 people, who will work together strategically to meet new friends and fans, and score prizes. there will be three team prizes (divided evenly with each person on each of the the winning teams) and one individual prize available.

team prizes will be awarded for the first card that makes it back to us, the card that travels the most miles, and the card that combines the most social media/blog followers. the individual prize will be for the most creative picture taken with the team card.

as you receive your card you will follow the instructions and email back to us with your information, which we will then post on the Tico♥Tina IRLO Mashup Race gallery page with all your links. we’ll also be introducing the members of the teams via twitter and group posts as they come in.

we’re going to be using the hashtag #IRLOMashup, so if you miss the first ten spots of the signup, you might want to think about tweeting at those who make it in to volunteer for their team (we’ll help you)

//there will be collaboration!//

prizes will be announced and added to as we go along, and you will be welcome to add your product to the prize pool (contact us for details if you are interested), but the biggest set of prizes will be awarded to the card with the most combined followers – because we won’t count these until the last card is in, so you will have the opportunity to help your team grow its combined followers up until the last second!

//most of all, there will be FUN!//

this will be such a great way to meet new people and promote each other’s blogs/shops/sites, we hope you’ll join us! (we may come up with other ways for you to be a part of the process as we go along, so stay tuned!)
