we LOVE when there are so many awesome/fun linkups that we want to join. we HATE when a week literally feels like a day and everything else crowds out those fun things we want to do *pouty face*.
we LOVE technology, the internet, social media ALL of it! we HATE that it’s sort of completely impossible to keep up with it all.
we LOVE the blogging community. so. much. we HATE that we can’t live in a utopian commune with all of our favorite online and in real life people. sigh. can you imagine the parties and awesome hilarity?! maybe in heaven. you had better be there, k?

we LOVE that we’re going to embark on a crazy journey in the next few weeks. we HATE that it is completely freaky. in so many ways.
we LOVE when our project got over 150 social media shares in the first couple weeks. we HATE when those people didn’t each give just $5 to help support our project so we could have been $750 closer to spreading encouragement and inspiration across the US this summer! (you would seriously make our day in a big way if you would pop over and do that – there are fun rewards you can claim, too!) update: we also HATE when the site changes the facebook “share” to “like” and screws up the numbers. oh well.
and in honor of Julie, we LOVE when we get Twitter DMs. we HATE when we accidentally reply to them publicly. der. I totally just stole this picture.

so I’m going to leave you something to comment about. hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. what do you LOVE/HATE about the internet? are you one of those internet is baaaaad! people who thinks we are losing our real lives? NO MORE COMPUTERS AND PHONES AND TABLETS! you’re so rude when you check your phone! etc. oooooooooooooooo we will actually HAVE a phone soon. I THINK! that will be sort of cool.

Pssh… and you said it was gonna be dull! Not possible. I really love your funny pic at the top. Let’s see to answer your question about the internet I love that I can skype my family or see recent pics instantly, I hate that I allowed so many of the friends I couldn’t wait to not be around everyday from HS onto my FB account. I love that I can talk to my friends from Germany, Italy,and Hungary on there, but I hate that I seem to get hacked A LOT!

hmmm…My thoughts on the subject are – the internet is amazing because of the awesome connections you can make and big things you can do that weren’t possible before. BUT if the internet is someone’s only life and they’re CONSTANTLY (even when you’re around other people) on it, that’s just pathetic and annoying. Oh and I dislike that it can be so hard to understand and keep up with it all sometimes.

It’s definitely love/hate with me.
I see these people in Vietnam who don’t own computers and dislike the internet…and I think maybe they are the smart ones. They live a simpler life and perhaps happier because of it.
But, I’m happy to have blogging….and I think it’s led me to be more productive & connected when I’m on the computer. And there are people I connect with in person that wouldn’t have been possible without Facebook…so I’m glad for that too!
I guess, as with all of life, it’s about striking the right balance.

I definitely get what you’re saying, Emily, and I agree that our lives are FAR too complicated. it’s like the more that is POSSIBLE to do, the more we feel obligated to do. and can we live without the internet, sure! but I really love the connections it has allowed and *most* of the doors that is has opened up.

I love the internet because it makes it so easy to keep in touch with friends family and the blog world. I hate when twitter is down (like right now) ’cause it makes me feel so disconnected!
