nooks and crannies ♥
Uncategorizedhave I mentioned we live in a trailer? I think I did over here, but if you haven’t read “about us” then you may not know. it’s on our own tiny lot in a small, small town, right across from a school playground (which the kids adore to play at, obviously). in any case, I had always thought a trailer was pretty much the last place I would ever want to live, but being able to pay cash for your home somehow outweighs the annoyance as it enables us to be on this crazy adventure to becoming fully self-employed. truth be told, it was quite an upgrade from the apartment where we spent our first 6.5 years together – a yard, our own laundry “facilities”, and a carport all being nice perks. so while there are multitudes of things that need work or are far from ideal, I decided to document a few of my favorite little spots in our home.

my friend Sara made me these adorable little flowers for my most recent monumental birthday. ♥ !
as a family we very much enjoy our little xbox kinect. take special note of those two little statues guarding the fireplace – I scored them when Mr. D and I were both in a missions training program, cleaning out a huge old building. notice any resemblance to a certain couple? *smirk*
I ♥ these little wall decals. they are sprinkled throughout our house. Mr. D loves his fancy schmancy coffee maker. no, I did not pose the mug, it was just sitting there.
we ♥ mirrors. nothing to do with vanity. everything to do with the mirage of space ![]()
we also love guitars and this chair. oh, and books.

♥ this patterned fabric I put in the cabinet doors on our hutch. also very much ♥ the tall stand that holds our rice cooker, crockpot, breadmaker, onions/potatoes/garlic, and various pots and pans.
I detest having to get appliances out of cupboards…

♥ the barstools our friends Jeff & Rhonda scored for us to use. ♥ the bar. seriously. even though it gets cluttered like every other flat surface in approximately 2.5 seconds. (it is currently home to the ever-growing pile of tech that we are taking to Costa Rica to our friend Eddy next month. I think those things are breeding.) another mirror to ♥, as well as those pendant lights. yep.

we are truly blessed.
if you ever get to come over to our humble abode you will realize that I am good at finding the right angles to make things look better than they do in real life
it is what it is, kids.

Good for you! You can never tell that it is a trailer, that is for sure! Looks beautiful to me!

Ooh – I love your mirrors. They are stunning accent pieces
thanks, Amanda, I’ve always loved the way mirrors open up space – the best part is that these were only under $20 for both of them
