Uncategorizedso, life, people… “how’s that working for ya?”
I’m guessing we’re all quite similar in most ways.
one way is probably the fact that our lives are continuously evolving and we have to sort of scramble to keep up in order to not get trampled. because life goes fast, yo.
as I think we’ve mentioned before, our main dream is to work together and be able to both be with our kids – we’ve always remained flexible in how that would look. we also know a number of things that are in our hearts that we will always pursue:
1. Truth
2. design/photography/art
3. music
4. writing
5. encouraging others to think differently and pursue their dreams
as you should know by now, we already pursue some of these through
Kaleidoscope International and the Beauty of One.
we also recently accepted a position as part of the team at Passionfruit Ads.
we’ve been getting to know Jason since basically the beginning of when he started laying down the charm on bloggers everywhere with his revolutionary new ad management system, and it was just so refreshing to find someone else with the kind of business philosophy that aligns with how we think/imagine/dream.
we’re not discontinuing our other “stuff”, just broadening our adventure
and speaking of ads, that brings me to something else I’ve been thinking about for a little while.
we kind of just jumped into this whole sponsor thing and it’s gotten bigger than I can handle for the way that we want to do things around here.
see, I want to be personally connected to our sponsors each month – including the swaps! and it’s not very practical for me right now with the number of swaps that we have going on and those still waiting in the queue.
the way we’ve always tried to do social media is to follow and friend people that we can connect with on a personal level – we honestly try to keep up with our whole twitter feed. obviously we know this isn’t a practical long term scenario for real networking.
so what we’re going to be doing starting in July
is cutting down to 10 available swap spots.
we love all of our bloggy friends and want to be able to swap with everyone, but we also don’t want to be exclusive and leave people out – we want to give those just starting and those with a small budget a chance, so we’re making a new policy that if there are swaps in the queue we won’t renew a swap 2 months in a row. I’m not really sure how else to best do it, so we’re at least going to try this and see how it goes.
we really just want to give our sponsors the best experience possible.
hopefully you all can understand where we’re coming from.
so go ahead and check out the options!

Tina… I just wanted to say that I LOVE that photo of you. =)
And I totally support your decision.
I think I’m probably going to follow suit.
