Well so ends another weekend in the household of the Dillers. We have sadly come to the resolution that we are going to commiserate with our fellow Iowans and spend the winter here. We’ve already had a couple of inches of snow just this week, and I don’t think we’ve had any days that have been above freezing (I don’t track this too well so don’t quote me). So BLAH. Christina and I decided this after much thought, the trip wasn’t going to be long if we did go, so what is the worth of going to good weather and coming back to crappy weather. I have about 2 wks of paid time off at work so I think we’ll make use of those during this winter and get some stuff done with our business. yay !!

Bouncing the subject… I was so glad to receive a package of yummys from the church matriarchs!!! I guess they made some time to take care of our kids and make food for the parents!! I have to admit, this is one of the reasons why Iowa just rocks, nowhere in my travels have I encountered such a loving church family. I was blown away when we had Maeve, cus for 2 weeks we ate like pigs, because people in the church made meals for us, and now this! Sooooo… for those of you that don’t live in Iowa, stay where you are!!! Once mid-March comes along, THEN move to Iowa (I hope Kirk & Karla read this …).

I guess there’s not much more to tell. I’m proud of us  because our house has had a good semblance of order for the past week. It’s amazing how much nicer and less stressful life is with a clean house.Well got to go!! Oh a funny!! The other day we were praying for lunch and we were going to watch “the office ” and so I finish, and Maeve adds her little tag “an Gamma (grandma), an Tapaw (grandpa), an Michael!!!!” hee hee  I guess if you don’t watch the Office then sorry, and you should really come out of the cave and get some fresh air! Apparently she knows who he is!! ha ha!! Have an awesome week!! For those of you in IA, pray for God to have mercy on us.

Lets start with the latter… “twas the night before thanksgiving ,and all thru the house every creature was stuffing it’s face probably even the  mouse”, and so it went with thanksgiving day , the day after, saturday, and yes potluck 5th sunday at church !! I think it goes without saying that I am dieting or at least  trying to excersise  some sort of much needed moderation with my eating .  I think i was a bit too happy go lucky  with my diet . I didn’t really eat anything at work so i was hungry all day , and therefore felt justified in gorging myself when supper came around. I’m packing a lunch now, and trying to limit my calorie intake to about 2059/day  which should get me to losing 2.5 pounds a week.  I hope to someday get to 200lbs which would be where i should be , i think. Im a bit concerned  with the “extra  me”, i know for a fact that i should  do some sort of physical activity,  but truth be told , its hard to find the time and resovle to do it.

Eddy was here , and singlehandedly gave a boost to the US economy by buying pretty much everything that crossed his sight. I guess it can be excused since all the stuff he bought has about a 75% price hike in Costa Rica. It was very good to have our southern friend here , we had alot of fun with him, and Maeve was duly spoiled by him. Another source of spoilage was the ever spoiler aunt Kimberly. The Chandlers made their yearly appearance for Thanksgiving, and helped us with the gorge-fest. They also gave us the Aunt Kiki treatment which is much fun for everyone, always unpredictable , but always fuuuuunn!! I think the world would be a better and funner place if everyone had fun relatives (cus i had lots of fun with Tim also, I didnt see Morgan much tho, but i’m sure she was fun for those that were around her) from the South.

So yeah it was one of the more memorable Thanksgivings fun, family friends and food . Now for some  fwork.

Salute ,

David , for the Dillers

Bile coming up my throat and shivers going down my spine…

The title of this post sums up my Nov 4th experience. Now before you slap me with the “sore loser” label know this , the shivers came when I heard B.O. (wow!! that works kinda well) give his acceptance speech. I have to hand it to him , he is an extremely gifted speaker , and if he lives up to a 16th of the hype about him then he’ll surpass in presidential “status” his co-illinoisian Abe Lincoln (suppressed chortle here). OK !!!! you can slap it on now!!!!! I have to admit that while i was listening to the  speech  there were shivers going down my spine , I was moved ! I wished I could’ve  for just a second  lost all my reasoning capabilities , and joined the crowd of O-zombies . Oh well …  I thank God for the brain I got and the uphill battle that comes with my proper wiring .

On another note . I HATE IE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ummm with a passion that burns ever brighter … Ummmm HATE IT!!! if you are reading this in  IE  GET A REAL BROWSER HERE OR HERE OR HERE. OH and please never insult my blog by coming back in the stinking pile of horse-butt-hairs!!! BTW IE stands for Internet Explorer… and BTW stands for  by the way.

WOW !! that felt good!!!

We’re doing fine . My friend Eddy is coming for Thanksgiving  and  so we’re looking forward to some good times eating Casey’s Pizza ( he was actually craving it ) . Maeve’s vocabulary is increasing  rapidly ,it’s kinda funny to suddenly find out that she knows a word . Today I found out that she knows the word for butt… heh heh!!  Kinda scary also …  I only see her saying  ”aw crap ” at church. ” Yeah it was the Diller’s  kid!!!” . Anyways … So she’s smart and healthy and Mommy and Daddy are super busy  so yeah  thats  us  in a nutshell . Blessings and I’ll start working on  some recent pics.

So much for going to bed early…

I  think we spent our week trying to “reeecooop” from spending the weekend with the Adams family . We had an awesome time just hanging with the bros and Grandma and Grandpa. I think some small person really liked all the special attention ,and it was cool cus she provided added entertainment.  We fished , and  traipsed through the undergrowth  and heard a guy try to lure the fish into his boat  with country music , and Bob lost  about a dozen hooks and bobbers ( there were many many underwater snags and such). We caught 3 fishes though  and they were readily devoured that evening. Needless to say , lots of fun was had by us . I do realize now though that I, at 29 years of age (this is David in case you didnt notice by all the extra spaces between words), am an OLD FART.   We stayed up late on friday , and i had the  chinese disease the rest of the week (Dragon”draggin” Butt ) .

On another note , Maeve had a major-ish spill on thursday  . She managed  to get two ugly scratches on her face and managed to chomp her tongue a bit . I guess she learned that little girls cant fly . Poor baby , on top of that she’s been  teething , so she is drooling constantly . I think she is  doing better now , the patch on her shirt is only 2 inches wide  instead of 4. Anyways  I will try to salvage some ZZZZZ’s  and  hit the hay now.

If you click on the little pictures  of Maeve on the sidebar you will get to a place that has the pictures you have been bugging me about .

Blessings

Speechless in Iowa

Har har… Yeah that’s what we’ve been lately. I have  to apologize on behalf of us for the drop off in communication, but  what can i say … Its the summer so give us a break. I bet none of you  read any blogs anyways  right ? You were probably having barbecue’s and coming home very late . So there !! I have managed to save some face . Oh and  the Olympics !! Cool more face saved!!

Life In the Iowa Dillers abode is moving along . I think its been a paradoxical slow and fast . There are days  when we’re like wow this day went on forever , and then we look at the calendar and August is almost over !!! ( well now it is , at least here in Iowa ) .  So much so , that the  other day i was at a restaurant  and saw  college football on the TV , and  was  like why would they be showing  Michigan  reruns  in Iowa , and then it hit  me …  College football started already !!!   Oh  well .

Our dear Maeve is growing in the manner of weeds . We  put her hair in little “pony” tails  for church today , and  she was  so cute!  She  keeps us busy , but i have to admit that its the busy I like .  KI (our biz) is moving forward  we seem to tread water the most here ( for me David) , since i feel like a lot of my faculties are spent on the Creamery , and then  coming home and working is a bit too much .

Creamery …  yeah there’s a post and a half of things you probably don’t want to hear .  Hey though here’s a prayer request , pray that my projects would be able to come about .  I’ll tell you about them later , but it will be so cool if they work .

OK I’m tired and i want  to go and watch a bleeping ,bleeepity bleep bleeep Ramsay’s kitchen night-bleep-mare-bleep-’s bleep.

If you didn’t get it …

sorry : )
