so I finally did the annual get rid of old clothes/organize closet task today… this time it turned out to be not quite so annual, as I think I haven’t done it since being married. this is a bit of a look into how I like to organize my clothes. I chose beautiful ’80s shades to illustrate it. speaking of colors, what we had for lunch tasted brown… you know how when you are painting and you mix all the colors together you get brown? yeah, that was our lunch
now, we are very late to be getting ready for Tom Sawyer, so GOOD-BYE for now.
…wanted to find out that you are pregnant just so you feel like you have an excuse to yourself why your stomach can stick out so far, and can’t suck in all the way anymore? I have… but I guess I should just get back on my situp routine instead.
So I Wanted to write a post, and share something that is weighing heavily on me right now… I just had a prayer request … I would really love it if you could pray for the Costa Rican soccer team. I actually have three prayer requests
1- That we would crush the principalities of Ecuador.
2- that we would vanquish any false Polands that set themselves up against us
3- and that we would be able to tie with Germany
This happy little note just to bring attention to the little counter on the sidebar that tells you how many days to the World Cup. You don’t care about the World Cup or about soccer????? Well then …please feel free to move out of the PLANET, because it’s the most popular sport on planet earth. VAMOS TICOS!!! Y que viva Ecuador (pero que viva bien lejos!!!!). Disclaimer: I am not a Ecua-hater , but I just want Costa Rica to qualify

Loretta, you were there? funny… I was at your work, although it didn’t look much at all like it… and everyone there was busy, so I helped this guy who came in wanting an application: after he filled it out and gave it back to me I saw that he was Mormon (I’m not sure how, unless you had a religious affiliation checkbox list on the app)… and so I wanted to ask him if he had seen this certain Mormon movie, which name I couldn’t for the life of me remember… I went outside for something and was straining and straining my brain to try to remember it and you know what, I DID!!! it is truly bizarre to me how much you can really do in your dreams the more you work at it… anyway, so I went back and he was still there and I asked him if he had seen it and he had, but I didn’t get to ask his opinions on it cause he was leaving… as he was leaving he said that he wasn’t sure about working there afterall, as he could tell that the place was Jehovah’s Witness… I was like it is NOT!!! can’t you tell the difference between Christian and JW’s – lol, now that I see that it seems like the store (there is a grocery store in Kalona with that name)… anyway, then the alarm went off – has anyone else ever noticed how much more tired you are if you have to wake up in the middle of a dream??? ugh…
the movie was called “The Best Two Years” we watched THREE Mormon movies on our anniversary… I found the first one, Mobsters and Mormons, and just thought it would be funny to see a movie with Mormons… then I also got this one, Baptists at Our BBQ, which I thought looked rather cheesey and dumb, but had looked it up before and knew it was ok for us to see… so we watched those and then when we went back to the place after we ran out of the other 5 movies (except one that we decided not to watch since it seemed to be in b/w – ugh) I randomly found the one which created that dream and just had to watch it – it ended up being the best of the three as far as getting a better look into the whole “witnessing” thing, cause it’s literally about them on their two year mission… seriously, it was fascinating… they even have their own “churchese”, for example, “friendshipping” is friendship evangelism… the kicker was when they got to finally witness to this one guy and get this, the climax was when Joseph Smith received his “bible” – there were tears in everyone’s eyes… it was really confusing, ok, someone dying - that’s something to get emotional about… but someone getting a book????????????????????? all in all, I’d recommend these movies if you’re interested in seeing a little into this religion – sadly, they’re better made than Christian movies, well, the acting in “the Best Two Years” was pretty decent, the other two still had fairly bad acting, but yeah…
I just discovered that on some computers it appears all our navigation worked it’s way to the bottom of the screen… I hate working on stuff like that – really David is the one who usually has to work on it, and he hates it, too… oh well – sorry to those of you that it’s doing that to! (sorry also about bad grammar) um, so our little story for this week is this: well, it’s two or three things, really…
first off, I didn’t mention that last Saturday when we were bouncing around in those LARGE fields we popped a tire… last night on the way home from worship practice another one blew! we knew it was going to, and had thankfully already ordered a whole new “round” of tires… so last night we hobbled it over to the tire place and hopefully they’ll get them put on today! we just stayed at mom’s and David is wearing an interesting assortment of stuff to work today – for one thing, my bros’ feet aren’t big enough for him to borrow shoes, but he’s wearing the dreaded crocs!!!!!! big EWWW all around… as I told Rhonda the other day, I’m pretty sure that someone somewhere is laughing to themselves – hahaha, no matter how ugly I make them, I can still make people buy them!!! yeah, dumb… they DIDN’T have to make them so buttugly (for those of you who don’t know, the accent is on “tu”)…
ok, so the second story for this week is that we decided to postpone our trip to OH till the first weekend in May… I feel it’s really too long of a story to put here right now, but it’s definitely a testimony to God speaking to us =)
and the final story (so far) for this week is that on Monday I was balancing our finances with the bank and saw that the first hotel that we made reservations at for our anniversary and then cancelled still charged us!!! so it was a bit of a riggamarole this whole week trying to get to talk to the manager and whatnot, but finally last night David was able to sort it out… it turns out we are actually capable of staying at two different hotels at the SAME time withOUT ever even setting foot in one of them!!! it’s like wow… they supposedly had record of us checking in and out and everything, the whole while we were less than a mile down the street at a different hotel… when the manager called the other place and they said we had been there, he decided to believe our alibi and will be crediting us like one day at a time or something, since it’s a “large” amount of money… I don’t know, the housekeeper even said she cleaned our room and everything – if there’s any sort of crime found out around there over that time period, I’m pretty sure they’re going to track us down as suspects, cause we must be pretty good… I mean, we definitely did not let the housekeeper at our hotel clean our room until we left, so that could get suspicious! all in all I’m going to keep a close eye on our account and make sure we get all our money back – they might have some sort of racket going on there with letting other people check in under cancelled reservations…
