I am a very resourceful and independent woman by nature. It’s a good thing I’m married, or I’d probably be one of those women that you can just tell has something to prove.
The truth is, I’m MORE than happy to be a girl and take on some stereotypical characteristics. I don’t like killing spiders or bugs. I like being RESCUED from them. David didn’t like killing them at all, either, but over the years as I’ve played the girl card, I guess you could say he’s become more “manly”. Oh dear, what would I do if I was left to manage bug killing on my own as a poor, helpless girl? Well, I’d probably walk out of the house and burn it down. I’m resourceful, remember?
I also played a tiny little joke on Maeve.
And she left me this extremely cute and precious note:
Then my friend/cousin, Karla, and I ventured out with all the kids, which still total less than our other friend, Ang’s, 6 kids of her own. Thankfully, our kids are old enough that it’s actually not too bad taking them out. We had fun, and it brought back memories of our moms taking us out and embarrassing the crap out of us as pre-teens. It’s only a matter of time until we can do that to our kids 🙂
