Hopefully someday Maeve will enter the Doodle 4 Google contest for K-12, which she was just old enough for this year, but I took a look at past winners and decided it wasn’t really worth her spending time on yet. Take a look at the top picks – there are some great entries in each bracket. Some of the kids clearly have a future in illustration.

Recently I ran across a simplistic yet mesmerizing way of showcasing music at Among Savage’s site. You have to click to start it, and each song has different visuals. It’s provocative in the way good art should be.
DIY Awesome
I don’t remember how I came across Lidy’s blog, but it’s a safe bet it was via Pinterest because basically every single one of her posts is mad-pinnable. Try to keep your drooling to a minimum. I don’t know how she does it, but she oozes creativity from her pores and it doesn’t seem to stop. Simply gorgeous and totally our style. What she makes is what my handmade self wants to do if it ever grows up, LOL. And I love her as a person, too 😉
Quirky
And when I say quirky, I really mean it. This guy has a lot of crazy stuff going on, but he is very talented.
