We try to make it a point to have family time each evening before supper, and usually we’re doing something active, but I have fond memories of my mom reading us books like The Little House on the Prairie series, and I anticipate doing more of that with our kids in the future. (actually, David will probably more likely be the one reading)
Today is Dr Seuss’ birthday, and we got to celebrate with The Lorax around a cozy fire thanks to Duraflame and Read Across America.
The whole family really enjoyed sitting by the fire, even though we were actually in El Paso, Texas at the time and in the 60s. We did decide to save the cocoa for another time 🙂 The Duraflame fire log was pretty cool, though. Instead of cutting down any tress, Duraflame recycles wood sawdust and agricultural biomass to make the logs. Neat!
