I’m not feeling at all profound today, but I am beyond thankful to be a mother, and so very insanely blessed by the children who make me one.
David took care of the kids on Friday night so that I could go out with some of my girls to Mom’s Night Out – which I highly recommend to all moms especially, but David would actually like to see it again also.
Yesterday Maeve made me a scavenger hunt of sorts with little hearts that had arrows on them pointing me where to go. I was impressed that she made sense of that! At the end was a card she had made and also a rock she wrapped up because she knew I had said I really liked that rock (it’s really smooth) 🙂
Today David gave me the option of staying home (I really didn’t want to go to church, I woke up in the wrong part of my sleep cycle and was beyond tired and the kids were sleeping in for once) but I’m the church secretary so we had the bulletins to take and I didn’t want to make him just go take them and come back and I also didn’t really want the kids to have to miss Sunday school, so we went. I was sooo glad I had picked out our clothes last night, though! There was no way we could have gotten ready in 15 minutes otherwise.
