Abraham Maslow said “You will either step forward into growth, or you will step backward into safety.”
The reality is that you can never just stay in one place. As soon as you think you’re just settled, you’re really moving backward.
It happens so quickly that you become stuck in a rut.
Letting yourself get too comfortable is like a death sentence for your creativity.
Just like the struggle a butterfly goes through to get out of its cocoon, the struggle we go through builds up our muscles. If we can stop focusing on the struggle and start focusing on the muscles, we have a better chance of being thankful, which increases our level of happiness.
